Security and Privacy

In this post 9/11 world, we find that security concerns are becoming more common as we do tours at various secure facilities or other government or research establishments. We have requests for "full names", addresses, and sometimes even social security numbers, and dates of birth. We collect data for which we are asked; however, we delete these from our records as soon as the information is given to the agency or department. In addition, we always add a caveat to any personal information that is submitted: "This personal information is for security purposes only and should be destroyed after the event and should not be shared with any other group, used for advertising, or any other solicitation purpose."
